TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGIES

assalamualaikum,

5 points that interested in me:

1.) (chapter 13 p 215)

ROLES OF THE INTERACTIVE TEACHER

==> 2. The teacher as director

"the teacher like a conductor of an orchestra or director of a drama."

Okay, we're talking about the role of the teacher,huh? for the creation of the communication fabric, it means interaction, there will require the regulator and the regulated. Like a real director, the teacher must be control and manage the role of each students' role like an actor of drama.

2.) (chapter 13 p 217)
FOREIGN LANGUAGE INTERACTION ANALYSIS
==> Indirect Influence of Teacher Talk,

==> 2a. Jokes

As we know that jokes have some benefits for our life. Like an entertain of long serious session, jokes can make us loud of laughing. . It isn't focusing to play some drama, but it have an important purpose which is teacher trying to give the students comfortable place. Jokes as an humorous is also to make them confidence although they'd mistakes. So, they never felt and blamed like a foolish person. Even they've motivate to get some praise of the teacher.

3.) (chapter p 2)
QUESTIONING STRATEGIES FOR INTERACTIVE LEARNING
==> 2. Teacher questions can serve to initiate a chain reaction of student interaction among themselves.

Like a chain, teacher questions can make a initiate to discussion. Usually, the student will be open their mouth if the teacher give an initial question. That focused on the teacher create an interactive language classroom. This questioning strategies is essential if the teacher have role which is as an initiator and sustainer to tangential chitchat at the classroom.

4.) (chapter 14 p 227)
EXCUSES FOR AVOIDING GROUP WORK
==> Appeal to various motivational factors effecting them.

Yeah, as we know that teach the students is talk about the strategy to make them 'know something'. But, it's better if we supply some great intrinsic motivation to their-selves.Try to effect them learn something to be the successful learners.

5.) (chapter 14 p 232)
SELECTING APPROPRIATE GROUP TECHNIQUES
==> 2. Drama
Based on the book, drama is more formalized form of role play or stimulation. In this case, there is the student who as an actor. They have a preplanned as a preparation before play at the performance. To show the great product, they must be learn first.So, not only just read the script but also learn more in each scene specifically.

QUESTIONS:

1. CHAPTER 13 (p 218)

This point talks about questioning strategies for interactive learning. Okay, I have some question, mam.

If we're talking about the role of the teacher is as an initiator of the interaction to create an interactive classroom, it means that we are having some initial question,right?

how about the condition which there is 'known student', may be they're our child or child that we knew,i mean, and the complicated situation is student who often answer

question is person who we knew before, though we never tell our initial question. so, what should we do as a professional teacher? Isn't make some jealous to another students?

and, if another condition that have 1 student who always raise her/his hand to answer our questions, how we can make the other student blamed fool and be an active student?

2. CHAPTER 14

In this chapter, there is many complex issue that may be occur possible. Like (p 229) Competitive members of a group are reluctant to share information with the others", or the student who wants to take some attention from us as a teacher make the class crowd like a trouble-maker. So, what should we do, mam?

Thank-full,

Wassalamualaikum.....
